Mendy Klein

He had a burning passion for eradicating the mageifa (“plague”) of child sexual abuse in the Jewish community, particularly within the haredi sector. He shares credit for the community’s recent, significantly increased level of awareness of the severity of this issue, and for supporting numerous survivors and helping them heal and rebuild their lives. Mendy was one of a select group of philanthropists who seek to create a robust infrastructure of social services to combat abuse and support survivors. As such, he supported numerous organizations and social entrepreneurs to establish themselves, professionalize and scale their services.

ASAP and its beneficiaries, past and present, honor his memory and mourn his loss.
His caring neshama and departing presence in this world will leave a huge hole.
